Donate/Volunteer - Membership Support

Membership Information

All funds raised by the Friends derive from book sales and membership. We sell books primarily in our bookstore as well as Amazon sales and sales in the community. We also receive membership support.

We are grateful to our 86 members who generously funded our efforts with $13,800 in contributions in 2021. We would love your support for our library and its programs.

For Librarian Circle and Benefactors, recognition and thanks will appear annually in the Friend's newsletter (with an opt-out option available).

Volunteer

If you are interested in volunteering to work in our Bookstore, help at our community sales, assist with Amazon sales or sort books in our work area, please email us.

Book Donation Guidelines

We are accepting small donations (1 bag) at the Downtown Library during operating hours. These small donations must be brought inside when library is open. Do not leave donations outside.

There is a book donation bin in the lobby of the Downtown Redwood City Library. No donations can be left at Schaberg and Redwood Shores branches at this time.

For larger donations Friends holds drive up/drop off Donation Events on the third Saturday of most months (see home page for next date).

Wanted Items: Books, CDs, DVDs in Very Good Condition. Also accepted: puzzles if complete, videogames, and albums.
